How Can I Change My IP to Your IP
Techniques and Software
How do I change my ip & mac addresses?
I am a graduate in EEE (Electrical and Electronic Engineering). I began to do freelancing works when I was in university. Now I own a small freelancing farm.To do my freelancing work properly, I need to change my IP address many times. While doing freelancing works for several years, I have researched on the IP changing techniques and tasted many software for this. I would like to share my knowledge and techniques with you here. Any comment, question about this matter is warmly welcomed here =) .

What is an IP address?
First of all, let's know the definition of an IP address. An Internet Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication (wikipedia-definition of IP address)
Just as we all have a name & ID in this world, just like that every computer or device which is connected to the internet has a name or ID. This ID is known as the IP address. You know, you just can't hide yourself in the world of web! You must need to leave your identity-whether it is fake or original!

What is my ip address-how to trace someone's ip?
To know your own ip address or to track someone's ip, just visit here: Trace IP , you will see the details of your ip address on the screen, you will also be able to see any one's ip details from that site.
What information can someone know from my ip address?
It is possible to know mainly 3 things from your IP address:
1. Your country
2. Your City
3. Your network provider's information (location of their server)
But in most of the cases, it is not possible to trace your home address from your IP address. But yes, if you do any illegal activity or crime and then if the law enforcement agencies want to catch you (!) then they can simply ask the network provider to give your address details, no matter which type of internet connection you are using, your data will be definitely stored in the net work provider's database. So in this way, your personal information can be found out.

What are the categories of IP address?
There are 2 categories of IP addresses. One is the Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4), which is still in use today. However, due to the enormous growth of the Internet and the predicted depletion of available addresses, a new addressing system (IPv6), using 128 bits for the address, was developed in 1995, and is now being deployed world-wide.
Generally, most of the IP addresses are in version 4.
Example of an IPV4 (Internet Protocol Version 4) address: 177.19.259.1
Example of an IPV6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) address: 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334.

Classification of IP address
The classification of IP address defines the possible number of networks and the number of hosts per network. The classification starts from class A. Higher classes indicate higher number of supported hosts and networks. There are five classes as described below:
Class A: 1.0.0.1 to 126.255.255.254 Supports 16 million hosts on each of 127 networks.
Class B: 128.1.0.1 to 191.255.255.254 Supports 65,000 hosts on each of 16,000 networks.
Class C: 192.0.1.1 to 223.255.254.254 Supports 254 hosts on each of 2 million networks.
Class D: 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255 Reserved for multicast groups.
Class E: 240.0.0.0 to 254.255.255.254 Reserved.

Why should you change your IP ?
Well, simple if you don't want to show your real face anywhere in the web-then hide the IP!
People change their IP addresses to protect their privacy and cover their tracks, to enter in a forum which is banned for them, unblock skype, facebook and other social sites (in some countries, these sites are banned) , to watch TV online(!) etc and for many other reasons.

Types of IP Address Those You Can Have
OK, while changing the IP, you need to know which types of IP addresses you can have.
1. Shared IP: The best example of a shared IP is a free web proxy server. A shared IP is used by many people and it is shared with many people.
2. Dynamic IP: It is not free, it is a paid service, and you will get a number of IP addresses using which you can change your IP randomly.
3. Static IP or Dedicated IP: Although technically they have differences in their definitions, but usually Static IP and Dedicated IP are used interchangeably. A static or dedicated ip means an ip which is fixed only for you and will be used only by you. It is a paid system.

Proxy Server
The easiest and free way to change your IP is using a web proxy server. All you have to do is just browse any web proxy server site, you will see an address bar there-type the web address you want to visit and click enter and that's all! Via that site's server you will visit your desired site. And the site will only see the ip address of that server of the free website you are using. There are a lot of sites which are providing free web proxy servers. You can get a list of free web proxy servers from here.
Disadvantages: first of all, one free proxy server is used by thousands of people every day. So you will not get sufficient speed here. You will only get about 50-60% speed of your original net connection's speed. And the second thing is, if you are trying to use this server to visit a secure site like paypal-they will note the ip and definitely block you-because with this ip address-a lot of people already browsed that site.
One more problem is, these servers cannot encrypt the OCR (the puzzled letters which you see during sign up anywhere).

Proxy IP- How to set a proxy IP into your browser?
You have to set an IP address manually in your browser. As like as the free web proxy servers, there are enough online sites which are providing free proxies. Just search in Google to find your free proxy.
Web browser instructions to set a proxy ip:
* Mozilla Firefox: Tools > Options > Advanced > Settings > Manual proxy configuration
* Google Chrome: Tools > Options > Under the bonnet > Network > Change proxy settings > LAN settings > Use a proxy server > Advanced > HTTP.
* Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet options > Connections > LAN settings > Use a proxy server > Advanced > HTTP.
* Opera: Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Network.
Disadvantages: free proxies have the same disadvantages also. And actually it even has a slower speed than the free proxy servers. And it is also a little bit painful to set an ip address in the browser for many times.

IP Changing Software
This is a good method for those who want dynamic ip (an ip which you can change randomly-whenever you wish). These are not dedicated ips(not only used by you). The seller company of this software holds a huge number of ip addresses from different countries. The software automatically finds out the best speedy proxy ip addresses for your desired country from the list , and then automatically set that in to your browser. You can change your ip address as many times you want with an ip changing software.
Disadvantage: The Disadvantage of an IP changing software is, one ip is used by several people at a time, (not like the free proxy ips-which are used by thousands of people at a time, as it is paid system here in the ip changing soft, maybe about one hundred people will use one ip at a time instead of thousands!), so you will get 70-80% speed of your original internet connection.
I have used and tried a lot of ip changing software in my life. I am not going to confuse you by giving a huge list. I am just writing only about 2 software which are the best upon this matter.
NOTE: I have uploaded the links of the free trials here also. After downloading the software, at first close your browser, then install the software, then open your browser and use the software.

VPN
VPN (Virtual private network) is the best solution for changing IP address. It doesn't slow down your speed to a great extent and if you are using dedicated ip with vpn-then you will have the 100% speed-which means your speed remains unaffected. VPN is the latest technology which gives you maximum possible security.
Using VPN is very easy.
1.The company from which you will get the VPN will give you a software with your registration code and other details. This is a very small software (less than 1 MB in size) in most of the cases. And it takes just a few minutes to be installed.
2. After installing, you will get the "icon" on your desktop. And whenever you want to change your ip, first connect to the internet as usually then just double click on that VPN icon to start the software-one small box will come in front of you where you will find options-connect & disconnect, just hit the connect button to get connected and hit the disconnect button to disconnect. That's it. You will have your IP changed while you connect via that VPN.

I get 100% speed during using my dedicated IP, and almost 95-100% speed while using the shared ones (I can feel it because I have speed tasting software, but generally you will not feel any change). They have a huge number of ips and gateways to provide a good service. All of their ips are usable with any type of net-connection device.
Packages:
Note: All the prices here are for 1 month, but they have also packages for 6 and 12 months, where you can save about 25% per month.

Super speedy-best for dynamic ip
Hide My Ass! : This VPN software is the best for dynamic ip changing. As I said, with the regular ip changing software you will not get maximum security and speed, you have to use a vpn to get maximum possible security and more speed, this VPN works mainly like an ip changing software. Using Special Devices
I was a student of Electrical Engineering, while studying my books, I discovered some new things which I did not know before, I would like to share these with you.
Using some special devices you can change your ip randomly. You do have a mobile phone, right? Do you know each time you connect to the internet via your mobile phone you get a new ip? Yes, while connecting via those devices which are operated by a sim/rim card inside (like mobile phone, modem etc) each time we will get a new ip. Even if you restart the connection, you will also get a new ip.
Some people use router for internet connection. You can try by restarting your router to change your ip.
But if you want to show your ip address from a different country (not from the country you live in) then you have to choose the other options-it is not possible to use special devices here.
Also, using mobile phone's internet connection is costly in some countries, in that case buying an ip changing software or vpn can be better and a cheaper option for you.

Changing The IP Given By Your ISP (Internet Service Provider)
Your internet service provider gives you a fixed IP. If you want than you can change this IP by using some tricks with help of this e-book: Your new IP in a few easy steps . I have downloaded this book and tried the tricks-it worked pretty well for me. I would like to write the tricks here-but can't because of the copy right law (!) but what I can say that this book contains detailed info with nice screen-shots, it is very easy to understand and doesn't take more than 5 minutes to get the result.
NOTE: YOU WILL NEED THESE THINGS HERE:
1. Windows XP, service pack 2. (NOT Vista)
2. A direct CABLE internet connection. (so NO DSL, no router. If you use a router you can easily take it out temporarily, change your IP with this eBook, and then put the router back.)

What is a MAC address?
MAC (Media Access Control address) addresses are most often assigned by the manufacturer of a network interface card (NIC) and are stored in its hardware, the card's read-only memory, or some other firmware mechanism. If assigned by the manufacturer, a MAC address usually encodes the manufacturer's registered identification number and may be referred to as the burned-in address. It may also be known as an Ethernet hardware address (EHA), hardware address or physical address. Read More From Wikipedia
How to find your MAC address?
For Windows:
Click on the Start Menu.
Click on 'Run'
Type 'cmd' without quotes and press Enter.
At the command prompt, type 'ipconfig /all' without quotes. (space between g and /)
Alternatively, if using Windows XP, you can use the command 'getmac'.
Your MAC Address is listed under 'Physical Address' as a series of 6 groups of two digits, letters and numbers, separated by dashes. Make sure you get the physical address of the correct network adapter - usually there are several listed.

Difference between MAC & IP addresses
Generally , a MAC address is burnt into the network interface permanently by the producer. But an IP address can be changed whenever you wish.
How to change the MAC address?
First of all, changing your ip with a dedicated vpn server is almost enough to give you a secured or anonymous browsing. In most of the cases, you don't need to change your MAC address.
WARNING: It is possible to temporarily change your MAC address with appropriate software, if your hardware allows it (older hardware may have the MAC permanently burned in). This is known as "MAC address spoofing", and is generally not recommended unless you need it. Since the MAC is needed to find your computer at a local level, changing your MAC address will tend to confuse the router. This is only useful for pretending to a router that you are using a different computer.
Who change their MAC addresses ?
Some online game sites may ban you based on your MAC address.
Some people think that changing their MAC address may help them to hide from government agencies, ISP & WiFi networks.
For these reasons, people want to change their MAC addresses.
How to change it?
Actually changing a MAC address is not that easy as changing an IP address. It is a little bit difficult if you try to do it by your own. Instead of that I will recommend to use this software: Hide Your MAC Address
It is a one click software which will change your MAC address instantly - you don't have to anything except installing the software.

How can I change my ip address
How to set the IP address?
Setting up the IP address in computer is an easy task. The IP address consists of 4 octets and is in the decimal form. The computer reads the IP address in the binary form, but the humans write it in the decimal format. Without setting up the IP address, you will not be able to connect the internet and browse websites. The IP address numbers are between 0 and 255 and for example it appears as 1.1.235.235. Now let us find out how to set up your IP address in your computer.
1] Click the start button in your computer. In the start button click the control panel and open the control panel window.
2] The control panel window contains lots of icons. Choose network connections icon and click it.
3] Now the network connections window opens and you will find the LAN and other network connections.
4] Select the local area network connection and choose properties by right clicking the mouse.
5] In the properties, select “general”. In the “general” you will find “internet protocol (TCP/IP)” under the heading “this connection uses the following items”.
6] Select Internet Protocol and click properties button.
7] Provide IP address, subnet mask and default gateway (the 4 octet number provided by your service provider).
8] Do not change the preferred DNS server and alternate DNS server that are below the default gateway.
9] Click O.K. to complete the setup process. So, now you have setup your IP address and ready to activate the internet.
